What Is LifeSystem Design?
LifeSystem Design is a philosophy and curriculum in a state of continuous growth. Research and curriculum development are supported by The RITES Project and EcoGatherings. The central concept is that a healthy LifeSystem is signified by a balance in one's mind, body, and spirit, combined with healthy interactions with one's environment and community. LifeSystem Design is the practice of integrating opportunities for enrichment of one's mind, body, and spirit with his or her daily patterns and lifestyle. Permaculture concepts are applied to social patterns to allow a person to view his or her life from a macroscopic perspective, allowing one to assess his or her personal balance and role within the community. Holistic Living means being aware of the effects that we have on ourselves, each other, and the planet. We practice skills and lifestyle choices we feel have a positive impact, as a way for people to gain perspective. Permaculture is our primary focus, as it encompasses both new and time-honoured knowledge of harmonic living with the earth. LifeSystem Design illustrates the holistic nature of our life patterns, giving us the tools to enrich ourselves in ways that are harmonic with our personal path, community, and environment.
About EcoGatherings

Our mission is to empower event organizers with the tools for more responsible land stewardship, while simultaneously educating the public about sustainable living. EcoGatherings coordinates EcoLogical practices for Symbiosis Gathering in all areas of production. This knowledge is being used to create a prototype plan and resource directory for the 'Greening' of similar festivals around the world.
