Body

The body is the first place in which we are able to demonstrate our methods of care and concern for ourselves and subsequently the other members of our communities. As we choose fuels for our physical bodies, we are supporting the methods in which these resources are obtained. Maintaining physical fitness and practicing healing techniques ensures our abilty to reproduce and sustain our chosen lifestyle for generations to come.

Nutrition

Nutrition is our daily fuel for life and the source of our physical energy. By choosing whole foods from organic and sustainable sources, we are choosing the purest form of energy for our bodies, which demonstrates our principles of care for the earth as a whole. Dietary paths such as veganism and vegetarianism show respect for other living creatures, as well as a choice for foods which require the least energy to create. Every individual is responsible for the conversion of food to energy through cooking and food preparation in a way that is both appetizing and healthy.

Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicines, aromatherapy and essential oils are tools indicative of the earth's innate ability to heal our bodies directly. These botanical resources are our direct links between the chemistry of our bodies and those of plants. The growth of every living thing is intrinsically linked to plant life through the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide. Plants are the most pure and basic utilization of the sun as a fuel source, through the transformation of water and light into vegetable matter.

Yoga and Meditation

Yoga and meditation are traditional techniques for internal focus, allowing us to align our physical and energy bodies. A strong core is necessary for the ability to radiate energy to the regenerative sources within our land and community. Yoga is practice which, maintained regularly within a healthy lifestyle, ensures longevity and strength. Meditation is an exploration of our inner self, which connects us inherently to others at the most fundamental level.

Physical Healing Techniques

Physical healing techniques such as massage, acupuncture, and acupressure allow us to draw on our own energy resources and share them with one another to create a necessary balance. When one has an abundance, we are able to share and create a healing balance of physical energy. We create abundances in energy by the maintainence of our physical fitness and mental stability.

Body Movement

Body movement is the core of physical fitness. Through the practice of sports, dance, and martial arts, we strengthen our muscles and organ systems and allow our bodies to utilize fuel properly. Exercise is crucial for the elimination of toxins in our systems and the distribution of nutrients. Regular body movement improves circulation of blood and strengthens our respiratory system. Strong bones and ligaments are dependent on frequent use and stretching.
