Sivananda Yoga
Sivananda yoga is a branch of hatha yoga intiated by Swami Sivananda (1887-1963). Through a practice and discipline of the 12 basic asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathwork), this practice helps to bring about balance of the physical body and the mind and allows one to reunite with spirit (i.e self or universal conciousness).
Sivananda yoga is a way of life that incorporates 5 major points for health and happiness:
proper excercise
proper breathing
proper relaxation
proper diet
positive thinking and meditation
